Welcome to 6119CIT Advanced Topics in Computer Systems in 2006
This is an honours course in the Bachelor of Information Technology.
Overview
The course introduces a selection of advanced topics in computer systems
architecture and systems software and their relationships. It deals with
design issues, implementation techniques, and structure and use of tools
to support the implementation of computer systems and complex systems
software.
Content
A selection of topics from the following list:
- computer systems architecture,
- systems software,
- computer communication networks,
- operating systems,
- compilers,
- database management systems,
- real-time systems,
- fault-tolerant systems; and
- embedded systems
Important
This is a dual venue course! The first lecture will be held on
Thursday, 27 July in N13 0.36.
