This subject is a training programme for the Personal Software Process. The PSP is a process for individuals to use that applies to most structured personal tasks. These include developing software modules or programs, writing documents, defining requirements or processes and conducting reviews or tests. It is based on industrial practice, but scaled-down for use by individual engineers and on process improvement principles within which practitioners establish personal process goals, define the methods they will use, measure their work, analyse the results and adjust their methods to better meet their personal goals. The PSP teaches students that quality software is their personal responsibility.
